Summer Jam Cut Short Before Future’s Closing Performance

Last night’s forecast was troubling, and indeed the skies didn’t give Summer Jam much of a chance today. The Festival Stage in the MetLife Stadium parking lot, set to host acts like Chance the Rapper, Tory Lanez, Desiigner, and Post Malone, was called off early in the afternoon, but HOT 97 held on dearly to the Stadium Stage. Finally, the rain ceased and restless crowds gathered in front of the stadium, which wouldn’t be ready for entry until around 9PM, a few hours behind schedule. It certainly looks like, against all odds, many memorable moments unfoldeed on this year’s Summer Jam stage. But disappointingly, the night’s top headliner didn’t get to perform due to New Jersey’s curfew law.
